Learn To Play Hockey

Learn To Play Hockey is all about learning the skills of a great sport in a fun and challenging environment. Players learn the fundamental skills of how to skate, handle a puck with a stick, and many other valuable life skills.

At the age of 5, if the player is willing to learn and can take direction, they may enter our Learn to Play Hockey program. Players that are 4 may be able to enter the program as long as they can prove to the head instructor that they meet the criteria and get their approval.

The program usually has 3 – 4 levels of players on the ice and similar to swimming lessons, once you master a given set of skills you graduate up to the next level. This can happen at any time during the Learn To Play Hockey season.

The Winter seasons run from late Sept/early Oct – February and the Spring seasons from March – July.

See the Beginner Calendar for specific dates for the current season.

Players may join at any time on a space available basis with a pro-rated fee.

We also have a 30 day money back guarantee.

We offer Learn To Play classes at both of our facilities.
Saturday Mornings at Kingsgate Ice Arena in Kirkland, Washington
Sunday Mornings at Castle Ice Arena in Renton, Washington

Once a month Sno-King offers Try Hockey Free sessions.

Players register for one of the sessions but if space permits we allow players to skate during both sessions.
