Dear Sno-King Members                                                                         

 

 The 2010-2011 season is fast approaching!  We are all excited! It should be a great year for Hockey. We hope you have been enjoying the fantastic summer weather. We have seen an increase in our numbers the past few seasons and hope to build on it again this season. Our Spring/Summer Camps and Clinics have also been well attended. Thank you for your support as always!

·         Squirt Major and Minor  will participate in PNAHA

·         Recreation or C level will play in the NPSHL

Our aim is to create an environment where the kids can have fun, develop fundamentals and learn the life skills that only sports can teach us! Hockey is the best Team Sport on Earth! We will follow the USA hockey ADM model and its philosophy in order to achieve these goals.  Our coaches are committed to becoming a more positive impact on the lives of our kids by following the Positive Coaching Alliance principles.

We are also going to begin with some “Knock the Rust Off” scrimmages for those who are in town on Labor Day Weekend. There is also an opportunity to pitch in and give Kingsgate a Mini face lift. Nothing too Strenuous of course! See Doug Ross for details if you plan on being at the rink Sunday, September 5th!

Information on the Squirt 01 Minor “B” rep team.

This team will be participating in the PNAHA Squirt “B” league.   PNAHA is the Washington state league and we will be playing teams around the Puget Sound in addition to occasionally playing against Wenatchee, Tri-Cities and Spokane. 

The team will travel to other parts of the State, Oregon or Canada approximately once a month during the season.

The team practices twice a week and usually has two games per weekend. 

In order for the 2001 Squirt Rep team to better compete in the PNAHA Squirt Division, it may include 2000 birth year players for the 2010/2011 season.

The head coach of the Squirt 01 “B” team is Lloyd Shaw.  Lloyd has extensive playing experience and is a proven youth hockey coach. 

Team expenses above and beyond the player fees will include

·         personal travel and accommodations

·         team tournament expenses

·         team warm-ups, nameplates, socks

·         Other misc expenses that the team may decide to undertake

We encourage all our PeeWee players to attend even if you don’t think your player will make the team or you don’t intend to have them play travel hockey this year.  It’s a good opportunity to see how your player stacks up to the other players in their division and an extra skate is always a good thing for your player. 

Information on the PeeWee Tier 2 rep team

This team will be participating in the PNAHA Tier II league.   PNAHA is the Washington state league and we will be playing teams around the Puget Sound in addition to occasionally playing against Wenatchee, Tri-Cities and Spokane. 

 

The team will travel to other parts of the State, Oregon or Canada approximately once a month during the season.

 

The team practices twice a week and usually has two games per weekend. 

The head coach of the Pee Wee Tier 2 team is Shammah Wagner.  Shammah played at a high level and is a proven youth hockey coach.

·         team warm-ups, nameplates, socks

·         Other misc expenses that the team may decide to undertake
