Hello Sno-King families,
Thank you for making our Brown Bear Car Wash a success! I have received very good feedback from it, and we will try to have another one in the Spring (when people start washing their cars again!) I also hope the poinsettia sales are going well! Remember to turn your orders in by November 3rd!
The following is the info on our latest fundraising opportunity - The TLC Auto Care Fundraiser!
TLC Auto Care in Kirkland has donated 250 gift certificates to the association with a value of $100 each. Each family will have the opportunity to sell ONE (1) of these gift certificates for $50. $40 of the sale price will go toward your player fees, the remaining $10 of each sale will go to the association. GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST PAID, FIRST SERVED BASIS. (Unless you are selling as a team…see below)
The gift certificates are available for pick up at the Sno-King office at Kingsgate.
One certificate may be redeemed per customer. But they do not need to use the entire $100 value at one time (ie, they may use $25 of the value, 4 times). It can be redeemed for any services at TLC Auto Care. They are located at 11626 Slater Ave NE #6, Kirkland, WA 98034 (Near Kingsgate/Totem Lake).
TEAM MANAGERS:
If you would like to use this fundraiser as a “Team Fundraiser”, please contact me ASAP so that we can put your gift certificates aside. Your team may sell one gift certificate per player on your roster.

2008 Sno-King Cookbook Fundraiser
SKAHA Members,
Thank you to everyone that submitted recipes for the Association Cookbook. The cookbook is now at the publishers, we should have a proof copy within 2 to 3 weeks.
The cookbook finished with more than 350 recipes from families and friends. The book will be spiral bound with a hard laminated cover.
Now is the time for Cookbook sales!
The price of the cookbook will be $15. For each cookbook the player sells, we will credit that player’s account $9. This credit can be used for 08-09 hockey fees, spring programs or any future program fees. The credit will be posted to your account after the books have been delivered.
Our initial cookbook order is 200. The first 200 books will go to whoever gets their order in first. We have the option of increasing our order within the next two weeks.
At this time I am asking that all of you who will be selling (or buying) the book let me know the number of books you would like (an estimate is fine, please fax, call or email the number). Please let me know by August 15th. That way I will be able to increase our first order to the books by October 15th. We do have the option of re-ordering books, but it takes 4 to 6 weeks for orders to be filled.
This is a great opportunity for you to start your holiday shopping and pay your hockey fees at the same time. The cookbook would make a great gift for friends, family, neighbors, teachers and anyone else on your list.
