The Mite Minor program is for players that are graduating from Learn To Play / Beginner hockey and are prepared to play on a team.
The teams typically consist of players 5 to 8 year olds.
The teams are on the ice twice a week and will have games every second weekend against other Sno-King Mite Minor teams.
The season runs from September to March with breaks during holidays. The teams do not skate on holiday weekends.
These teams will focus on skill development and the coaches will also introduce positional play and rules of the game.
All the Mite players will be evaluated in September and placed onto a Mite Major or Mite Minor team.
Players from Learn To Play may be joining the Mite Minor teams as the season goes on.
At the Christmas break the players will be evaluated and some older players may be moved up to Mite Major teams if space is available.
