Mite Tryout/Evals 2011 2012

Dear Sno-King Members

The 2011-2012 season is fast approaching!  We are all excited! It should be a great year for Hockey. We hope you have been enjoying the fantastic summer weather. We have seen an increase in our numbers the past few seasons and hope to build on it again this season. Our Spring/ Summer Camps and Clinics have also been well attended. Thank you for your support as always! Our aim is to create an environment where the kids can have fun, develop fundamentals and learn the life skills that only sports can teach us! Hockey is the best Team Sport on Earth!

We will follow the USA hockey ADM model and its philosophy in order to achieve these goals. Please be aware that USA Hockey is recommending that Mite or 8U begin to work towards the goal of playing more cross ice games and utilizing station practices. Please be prepared for this in the future. We will get you all of the detals as soon as possible.

Our coaches are committed to being  a more positive impact in the lives of our kids by following the Positive Coaching Alliance principles.

If you have any questions about the upcoming season do not hesitate to contact us or check out our website at www.snokinghockey.com  for more information.

Mite evaluations are going to be a similar to last year as we intend on having evaluations for all Mite age players at the same time. Mite Minor and Mite Major will be evaluated according to age and ability. We hope to have Mite Minor teams and Mite Major Teams at Kingsgate Arena and Castle Ice depending on the amount of players that register. We are also going to begin with some “Knock the Rust Off” scrimmages for those who are in town on Labor Day Weekend. There is also an opportunity to pitch in and give Kingsgate a Mini face lift. Nothing too Strenuous of course! See Doug Ross for details if you plan on being at the rink Saturday, September 3rd!
