Bantam Tier II/Rec Tryout/Evals 2010 2011

Dear Sno-King Members                                                                         

 The 2010-2011 season is fast approaching!  We are all excited! It should be a great year for Hockey. We hope you have been enjoying the fantastic summer weather. We have seen an increase in our numbers the past few seasons and hope to build on it again this season. Our Spring/Summer Camps and Clinics have also been well attended. Thank you for your support as always!

·         Tier I will  participate in the PCAHA as well as in USA Hockey

·         Tier II will participate in PNAHA

·         Recreation or C level will play in the NPSHL

Our aim is to create an environment where the kids can have fun, develop fundamentals and learn the life skills that only sports can teach us! Hockey is the best Team Sport on Earth! We will follow the USA hockey ADM model and its philosophy in order to achieve these goals.  Our coaches are committed to becoming a more positive impact on the lives of our kids by following the Positive Coaching Alliance principles.

We are also going to begin with some “Knock the Rust Off” scrimmages for those who are in town on Labor Day Weekend. There is also an opportunity to pitch in and give Kingsgate a Mini face lift. Nothing too Strenuous of course! See Doug Ross for details if you plan on being at the rink on September 4^th or 5^th!

Free Bantam Scrimmages!

You must be a registered player with Sno-King for the 2010-2011 season to participate in the free Scrimmages. 

We encourage all our Bantam players to attend even if you don’t think your player will make the team or you don’t intend to have them play travel hockey this year.  It’s a good opportunity to see how your player stacks up to the other players in their division and an extra skate is always a good thing for your player. 

Information on the Bantam Tier 2 rep team.

This team will be participating in the PNAHA Tier II league.   PNAHA is the Washington state league and we will be playing teams around the Puget Sound in addition to occasionally playing against Wenatchee, Tri-Cities and Spokane. 

The team will travel to other parts of the State, Oregon or Canada approximately once a month during the season.

The team practices twice a week and usually has two games per weekend. 

The head coach of the Bantam Tier 2 team is Sheldon Haskell.  Sheldon continues to play at a high level and is a proven USA Level IV hockey coach.

Team expenses above and beyond the player fees will include

·         personal travel and accommodations

team tournament expenses

·         team warm-ups, nameplates, socks

·         Other misc expenses that the team may decide to undertake

Information on the Bantam house / “C” teams

Our house / “C” teams participate in the NPSHL league which consists of teams in the Puget Sound area. Watch for the schedule at www.npshl.com

The teams practice twice a week and usually have one game per weekend.

·         team socks, nameplates

·         tournament fees and any personal travel/accommodation expenses

The evaluations for our house/ “C” teams are as follows

Team assignments will be made after the Sat, Sept. 19^th. Practice schedule to follow.

NPSHL league play will begin Sat Oct 9^th.
