Hockey is a great sport for girls and women alike. Sno-King is excited to offer girls a choice - the opportunity to play on co-ed teams or to be part of our amazing girls' hockey program. Sno-King will be offering 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U girls’ hockey during the 2020-2021 season.
These teams will be operating in their 3rd season as full girls’ teams. They will practice 2-3 times per week and will play other local girls teams in addition to various tournaments and other local hockey opportunities.
New this season, Sno-King is offering a 12U Recreation all-girls team led by coaches Stephen Rogers and Peter Mann. The 12U rec team will practice 2-3 times per week and will play other local girls teams in addition to various tournaments and other local hockey opportunities.
Extending our existing and successful 8U, 10U and 12u girls’ program, Sno-King is providing a new and innovative girls program at 14U (2007 & 2006) for the 2020-2021 season.
The girls development program (GDP) is unique in the PNW and is designed to maximize player development, minimize travel and cost, and prepare players for competitive hockey --- be it at 16U rep, a hockey academy, prep school or college, the GDP is for committed hockey players and families. Conceived to provide female players with access to the very best resources --- coaches, trainers, equipment, skills etc., the GDP provides players with the most challenging, competitive and complete hockey experience available. For more information please visit the Girls Development Program webpage.
Girls are welcomed and embraced in our Beginner Programs! All of our players start here, and your daughter will be part of a group of children learning the best sport on earth. We will make sure she feels comfortable in our program and has a positive first hockey experience.
In addition to our girls teams, Sno-King will be putting on occasional girls clinic. Dates and times will be announced here. These clinics will be for all Sno-King girls, but some will have an older focus and some a younger focus. There will be guest coaches, specific-skill-focused clinics, parent-and-daughter stick and pucks, and more!
