Our Late Start Learn To Play program is about learning the skills of a great sport in a fun and challenging environment. Players learn the fundamental skills of how to skate and handle a puck with a stick, and then play games in a group of their peers.
Ages: Youth 10 to 14 years
Prerequisite: N/A (new skaters welcome)
Series Length: 10 Week Series - one class a week (may join at any time if space is available)
The focus and goal of our late start program is to teach beginner ice skaters the fundamentals of hockey. It’s important for these players to become comfortable on the ice, learn the basic hockey skills. Players will get to participate in games with their peer group in this class as well.
The classes will focus on skill acquisition for the first 4 weeks, and then move into half skills/half games for the last 6 weeks of the session.
Number of players: Up to 20
Times: Saturdays, Kirkland, 12:15pm
Cost: $300/season (10 weeks)
Gear rental: available for $50/session
Dates: October 5th to Dec 14th
No classes on: Nov 30th
Times: 12:15pm to 1:15pm
