We have been monitoring the COVID – 19 information closely including information available within our local region as the health and safety of our players, staff, families and community is a top priority.  We have also consulted with the latest appropriate county health information and as of this time, they are not requiring businesses to close.  While a limited number of school districts have made the decision to have students stay home many remain open and are following normal operations.

As of today, we are leaving the practice and game schedule in place for 10U teams and up.  Participation is up to the family of each player.  We ask that you let the coach of your team know as soon as possible if your son or daughter will not participate.  Coaches may also decide about whether to have practice or not and we ask that you let Andrew know if you intend to cancel practice.  We are in discussion with the MHL regarding scheduled games and as of now they will go on as scheduled.

Upcoming tournaments include the 10U and 12U festivals. These are run by PNAHA so they will make any decisions needed on those tournaments. Below are some guidelines from the CDC for you to follow:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol. Note: We have added hand sanitizers in key locations within the arenas so please feel free to use them.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Wipe down your cell phone routinely.
  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow/arm, not your hands. Wash your hands afterwards.
  • Consider boosting your immunity by eating vitamin-C rich foods, getting enough vitamin D, etc. Emergen-C is also available in the kitchen.

If You’re Sick or Someone You Live With is Sick

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • If you have a sick family member or roommate at home with COVID-19 refer to CDC guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of potential exposure.

For more information on mitigating your risk, please visit the CDC website.

Thanks
