Sno-King Annual Meeting and Board Elections

The Annual Meeting of the Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association Membership and Election of new Board Members has been scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, 2020 to begin at 1pm and will be held on a virtual call.

There are 4 Board position up for election with each Board member serving a 3 year term.

If you are a “General” or “Supporting” Member (please see bylaws for definitions), you are eligible to run for election to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for establishing policies and setting strategies for Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association (SKAHA). Each Board Member must take into account the interests of SKAHA as a whole and address SKAHA’s financial, business, and operational functions. Board Members contribute between 15 to 20 volunteer hours, if not more, per month towards fulfilling their legal and ethical obligations. Board Members are also expected to act in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Board Members.

Board Members are volunteers, and they do not receive compensation. If you are interested in becoming a Board Member, please review Section 6.5.1 of the Bylaws located at snokinghockey.com/bylaws and send your request to stand for election to Brenda@snokinghockey.com. Nominations must be submitted by September 1st, 2020, to appear on the official election ballot.
