As you might already be aware, this morning the Governor announced an extension of the current COVID-19 restrictions for the state through January 4, 2021. This means that our Sno-King Ice Arenas will continue to remain closed until we can reopen safely and responsibly. We are sadly disappointed we won’t be able to provide our community with the joys of hockey and figure skating throughout this holiday season but are hopeful for what 2021 has to offer. Last week when we met virtually with over 300 of our hockey families it was evident that we have a strong community that cares about our future and our mission. Thank you for giving us your time and attention as we continue to navigate these tough times together and share difficult updates on the impact that COVID has had on our non-profit. Below is a summary of the virtual calls we hosted last week including several follow-up resources on how to Stay Connected, Stay Active and keep Sno-King Strong.
Recap of Sno-King Community calls:
We plan to continue to provide ongoing email updates plus schedule additional Sno-King virtual calls in the coming weeks to keep families up to date. Another helpful way to stay connected with us is to follow us on social media. We have been very active to share ongoing information through these other channels and would like to invite you to follow us either on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SnoKingHockey or Instagram https://www.instagram.com/snokinghockey
Stay Active: Our Hockey Director, Doug Kirton has compiled several resources for both coaches and players to stay active. We are seeing lots of creative team engagement ideas to continue skills momentum and learning. A special thanks to our volunteer Coaches and Managers for helping to keep our community strong. Here are the resources we shared on last week’s calls:
