Congratulations to Sno-King’s select team at the 18U level for bringing home another tournament championship banner – this time from Las Vegas and its High School Varsity tournament!  This the third tournament out of four that the team has won this season, the others being Richmond Ice Breaker and TriCities 18U Rep.

The Vegas tournament was smaller – featuring only five teams from California and Nevada.  The Jr. Thunderbirds handily beat their first two opponents, Villa Park and MAC Hooligans 8-2 and 16-0, respectively before facing the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights on Sunday in a game that ended with a 1-1 tie.  After beating the Vacaville Jets 4-3 on Monday morning, they faced the Jr. Golden Knights again in the championship and soundly beat their opponent in this second game with a score of 5-2. A great weekend of hockey in Vegas with a total of 34 goals scored and only 8 against.

So far this season the 18U A1 team has played 40 games with a 28-11-1 recording with 213 goals scored and allowing only 94 against.  The team has nine games remaining in the season before state championships in early March.
