Sno-King Families, Coaches, Team Managers and Volunteers,

As you know, Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association (“Sno-King”) is a 501c3 non-profit organization and cannot operate without the support and contributions of our volunteers. What you may or may not know is that many of you work for companies that provide matching funds for every hour you volunteer at a non-profit organization such as Sno-King. These matching programs are an important source of funding for Sno-King and now more than ever, these additional funds are needed.

For instance, if you’re a Coach or Team Manager and work for Microsoft, you can submit all your hours to Microsoft, and they will pay us a per-hour cash “match” of your volunteer hours. Hours spent coaching, managing a team, working the penalty box or other volunteer activities qualify.

If you work for companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Google, Facebook, Symetra or others, please be sure to track and submit your volunteer hours regularly for Sno-King to receive the matching funds you’ve earned. If you are unfamiliar with your company’s policies, please check to see if a matching program exists and enroll if it does. It takes a short amount of time to further boost your positive impact during these unprecedented times.

We are grateful for all the volunteer hours that so many of you contribute to Sno-King and for every extra dollar we receive because of your commitment to volunteerism.

Thank you,

Clayton Rodgers, Executive Director

We are looking for some creative ideas and want to hear from you! As we are busy working on our new Fundraising campaign we'd love your suggestions to find a new, creative and impactful campaign NAME. The person with the winning submission name will receive a $100 gift card to our new Pro Shop Elevate Sporting and a Zamboni Ride. A selection committee made up of staff and Board members will choose the winner and it will be announced before November 6, 2020.

The new campaign will debut in November. Start brainstorming and share your suggestions! The deadline for entries is 9:00 p.m. PST October 30. Submit your suggestions click here

Here are the guidelines for submissions:

  • Only one submission per skater allowed; please include the skater name and contact email with your submission.
  • Multiple players in the same family may each make a submission; please send separate submissions for each players entry.
  • The name should be relatively short – one, two or three words is ideal
  • The name must compliment Sno-King brand, logo & mission
  • Easy to remember and say
  • Be creative and inclusive
  • This new campaign will pivot and expand on the “Capital Campaign” and “Raise the Rink" campaigns

(1)  If multiple entries are made with the same suggested winning name, all skaters names who submitted that winning name will be included into a drawing for the gift card. Anyone not drawn will receive a free skate sharpening at any Elevate Sporting location. Depending on entries, the staff may decide not to use any submissions.
