Parking at Sno-King Snoqualmie

By Sno-King Staff 04/16/2021, 12:00pm PDT

Sno-King Families,

This is a friendly reminder for all skaters and families that participate in any programs at our Sno-King Snoqualmie facility.  Please ensure to park in Sno-King’s designated parking spots when visiting our Snoqualmie location. We have received notification from our neighbors at PSE that they will be removing unauthorized vehicles from their designated employee parking area beginning April 19 as they are switching back to their normal operating hours and will require full use of their parking lot for both employees and guests.  We have a variety of parking options for our Sno-King families in front, along the sides and behind the building in addition to parking on Douglas street.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Girls Hockey Program

By Sno-King Staff 03/12/2021, 6:45pm PST

Did you know that girls hockey is one of the fastest-growing youth sports* in the United States?  Over the past 10 years, girls and women's hockey participation has grown by 34% across the US and more specifically 42% in the last 5 years at Sno-King.  It is our goal to support and grow girls hockey participation and we are excited to continue to build on this year’s momentum in our planning for the 2021-2022 season.

In honor of International Women’s Day this week, we’d like to celebrate some important milestones plus reinforce our continued commitment to providing girls a variety of options to play hockey. This season we expanded our 8U-10U all-girls program adding new teams at the 12U & 14U age levels led by a strong group of experienced coaches. We are also fortunate to have other local competitive all-girls teams to play in addition to seeing other new opportunities being discussed for our female players across the area. We have seen amazing development at all age levels in both all girls and co-ed programs and are excited to see these girls continue to grow with us next season.

Another milestone this season was our ability to host the recent PNAHA Girls State Development camp which is the first step to sending players to USA Hockey’s District camp.  We had 10 talented players participate at Select 15s (2006) and Select 14s (2007). We are extremely proud of our Sno-King participants and those invited to Districts.  Congratulations ladies!  In addition, for the first time ever our 14U girls team is heading to the 2021 Pacific District Championship Tournament in April.

Lastly, in addition to our all-girls program, we have also seen a tremendous interest in participation of our introductory hockey programs. For example, our recent Try Hockey for Free Day on February 20th had ~50% girls attend and our new Adult Learn to Play Session has ~35% female players. Our Staff and Board of Directors stand committed in delivering our mission of Building Players for Life by growing girls participation in hockey and offering a variety of programs for all skills and ages.

Best of luck with the remainder of the season and stay tuned for more info on what’s being planned for the 2021-2022 season!  We’d also like to invite all girls to join us for a variety of co-ed spring and summer camps.
