Sno-King is committed to growing the game and providing the opportunity for as many young people to play ice hockey as possible. We have entered into a long-term lease to create and operate a new twin-sheet ice arena in Snoqualmie Ridge to further our mission of Building Players For Life, while strengthening ice sports, business and recreation opportunities for the entire Eastside community.
Scheduled for completion in September 2020, this expansion will allow us to more than double the size of Sno-King's programs, allowing the organization to meet the increased demand for ice time on the Eastside for the foreseeable future. Everyone on the Eastside will now be within a 35-minute drive to a Sno-King ice arena, even during peak traffic. Visit the new Snoqualmie Website by clicking here.
Sno-King’s mission is to Build Players for Life. While providing the opportunity for kids age 4 and up to develop a lifelong love of hockey and to develop the skills to go as far in hockey as their natural talents and desires will take them, we also help them to develop the life skills needed to succeed in school, sports, careers, relationships and as a positive influence in the community.
To accomplish this, it takes the contributions of over 250 volunteers each year, including coaches, managers and a variety of other roles. Sno-King provides the opportunity for youth of all ages and adults to participate in learn-to-skate and figure skating programs as well as for adults to participate in competitive hockey leagues. Our arenas also serve the general public with public skating, group rentals and other opportunities to gather and recreate.
While Sno-King currently offers girls the opportunity to play on co-ed teams and has started an all-girls program that allows girls in the youngest age groups a choice of where they want to play, the additional ice time from the new arena will allow us to further our mission by creating a full all-girls program for girls of all ages and skill levels including hosting all-girls tournaments. The goal is that this region becomes a nationally recognized center for exceptional girls hockey programs.
The 72,500 square feet twin-sheet ice arena will include two NHL size ice sheets, a lobby/viewing area, a mezzanine area with seating and viewing areas, twelve locker rooms, a dry land training area and gathering spaces for parties and meetings. This will allow Sno-King to add over 6,500 hours of ice time to serve the entire Eastside market and beyond for many years to come, which will be critical as we grow youth hockey, figure skating and adult hockey programs.

Sno-King’s share of the costs for tenant improvements and other costs associated with the new arena approximate $12 million. Funding for the arena will come from a combination of debt financing, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic donations from the local community. Our Phase 1 goal for the Raise the Rink campaign is to raise $2 million of donations by May 2020.
As a non-profit organization, Sno-King is dedicated to providing opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy ice sports while we fulfill our mission of Building Players for Life. The impact and benefits to youth, families and the community from this new arena will be felt for generations. The kids of your kids, kids will be able to use this facility and benefit from playing ice sports.
If you contribute to the Raise the Rink campaign every time you visit the arena or hear it mentioned, you will be able to have a sense of pride in knowing you contributed to creating a community asset that will endure for years to come.
